The FDA has issued a warning against Clarcon products found to contain various types of bacteria. Consumers are cautioned not to use any products from the Utah based firm that include skin protectants and skin sanitizers. The Clarcon products contain disease causing bacteria in high levels.Consumers are warned by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) not to use any Clarcon products because they contain harmful bacteria and are promoted as antimicrobial agents that claim to treat open wounds, damaged skin, and protect against various infectious diseases. No cases have been reported to the FDA.
According to reports, US Marshall have seized all of the products and ingredients from the Clarcon manufacturing facility.A list of the bacteria containing Clarcon products include: Citrushield Lotion, Dermasentials, DermaBarrier, Dermassentials by Clarcon Antimicrobial Hand Sanitizer, Iron Fist Barrier Hand Treatment, Skin Shield Restaurant, Skin Shield Industrial, Skin Shield Beauty Salon Lotion, Total Skin Care Beauty, and Total Skin Care Work.
Marshals, after finding harmful bacteria in, hand sanitizers products ,have seized all skin sanitizers and skin protectants, including ingredients and components, at Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory’s Roy, Utah facility at the request of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
